SPIC Website: Tianji Power Plant Stands Out in National Thermal Power Unit Competition

On April 27, China Electricity Council (CEC) unveiled the winning result of national 600 MW-class thermal power unit efficiency benchmarking and competition of 2016, and all the three units of Tianji Power Plant entering the competition won prizes, among which Unit 4 and Unit 3 won the first prize and third prize of 600 MW-class ultra-supercritical wet cooling unit competition respectively, and Unit 1 won the first prize of 600 MW-class supercritical wet cooling unit competition.

 

This is the third consecutive year for the power plant to win prizes after Unit 3 won the first prize of national 600 MW-class ultra-supercritical unit competition in 2014 and Unit 3 and Unit 4 both won the first prize of national 600 MW-class ultra-supercritical unit competition in 2015. It is noteworthy that Unit 1 regained the first prize of 600 MW-class supercritical wet cooling unit competition after the retrofit on the flow path of the steam turbine. This year also witnessed the most winning units and the top ranking won by the power plant since its founding.

 

Meanwhile, during the outstanding paper selection at the annual meeting of CEC, a paper titled "Retrofit on flow path of 600 MW supercritical steam turbine unit" from the power plant won the first prize and another paper titled "Precise control of ultra-clean emission" won the third prize.

 

Tianji Power Plant has long been focusing on energy conservation and consumption reduction, relying on scientific and technological innovation, strengthening production and management, optimizing operation mode, constantly exploring new methods and ways of energy conservation and consumption reduction, and fully tapping internal potential, especially making best efforts to prevent station service power consumption rate from rising, which the power plant regards as the most important indicator in judging whether the ultra-low emission retrofitting is successful, so that the net coal consumption rate has not been kept under control, with various economic indicators of the power plant reaching the advanced level of similar units.
