Economic and Commercial Counsellor of Chinese Embassy introduced the Chinese economic situation and bilateral trade relations between China and Malta, fully affirmed the achievements made by SEP in the last year, and required the company to implement the management responsibilities of work safety, deal with emergencies appropriately and ensure smooth operation of the project.

Lan Chongxin extended New Year greetings to all the staff of SEPM, and was invited to grant certificate of award and honor to those management personnel and employees of the company with outstanding performances. He hoped SEP and other Chinese enterprises in Malta could adapt to the trend and strengthen their own capacity in the face of new opportunities with Sino-Maltese economic and trade cooperation, and make greater contributions to the bilateral economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

SEPM affiliated to SPIC is the biggest Chinese-invested project since the establishment of diplomatic relationship between China and Malta, and is also the biggest foreign investment project in the history of Malta.
