China Power Investment Website: Expo Area A Energy Center Project Approved by the Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission

    Recently, the Shanghai World Expo Zone an Energy Center project was approved by the Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, marks the second distributed energy project of CPIC has entered the follow-up design and construction phase.

    Shanghai World Expo Zone A is a key project in the “12th Five-Year Plan ". It will be an areas gathering an internationally renowned corporate headquarters and a world-class business district. As a project invested by Shanghai Electric Power Development Co., Ltd. and Shanghai World Expo (Group) Co., Ltd, this project aims to master the distributed energy technology. It adopts trigeneration energy storage technologies and other traditional supply energy technology and is equipped with four 1500 kilowatts gas engine-generator sets and ancillary facilities, provides high-quality hot and cold air conditioning and domestic hot water heat source for the World Expo Zone A and achieve clean and efficient use of energy.

    All the employees in Expo Shanghai Group are adhering to the philosophy of ‘serving the society with green energy’. They strive to promote the follow-up work to ensure that the construction can start the second half of 2015 to start and that the project can provide energy by the mid-2016. They are forging ahead and courageously step forward to make more contribution to the development and progress of the model distributed energy demonstration project.
