Wang Yundan Meets Malta's Ambassador to China

On March 9, 2018, SEP Chairman Wang Yundan met with John Aquilina, Malta's Ambassador to China, Aldo Cutajar, Consul General of Malta in Shanghai, and their delegation at the company headquarters.

Wang welcomed the visit of John Aquilina and Aldo Cutajar, and thanked Embassy of Malta and Consulate General of Malta for their long-term support. Wang introduced SEP's investment and cooperation in Malta and Europe and the results achieved to Aquilina in detail, and expressed that the company will continue to actively respond to China's Belt and Road Initiative, take Malta as the bridgehead and strengthen comprehensive cooperation with the Maltese side, in order to realize sustainable multi-win development and benefit in Malta and surrounding countries and regions.

Aquilina highly appreciated the substantial social and economic benefits gained by SEP's investment in Malta, and expressed thanks to SEP for its contributions to Malta's sovereign rating upgrading and ever-increasing national economic growth. He stressed that Malta, as a Mediterranean island country with an important location, has its unique advantage and convenience facing the market of European and North African countries and regions, and thus could serve as the hub and base for a great number of Chinese enterprises to develop their businesses in Europe and North Africa. He hoped to deepen cooperation with SEP and make joint efforts to help Malta form a more appealing business environment so as to attract more Chinese companies to Malta with the same multi-win development situation as SEP. At the meeting, Aquilina and Cutajar both expected closer communication and cooperation with SEP in future, and expressed strong willingness to provide all-round service and support for SEP in and around Malta.

The related leaders of SEP International Business Department and SEPM participated in the meeting.
