Wang Yundan Visits Chinese Commercial Minister to Japan

On September 15, SEP Chairman Wang Yundan went to the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in Japan, and visited Chinese Commercial Minister Song Yaoming.

Wang Yundan expressed thanks to the Chinese Embassy for its strong support to SEP’s development in Japan, especially for the caring and help from former and current commercial ministers as well as China Enterprises Association in Japan, which enabled SEP Japan to develop and flourish free from worries.

Song Yaoming noted that since the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, Japan has called a halt to nuclear power generation, with the resulting electricity shortage, and thus SEP deserved credit for grasping the historic opportunity to tap the Japanese market. He also mentioned that although Japanese market is comparatively stable and Japanese government is supportive in general, Chinese enterprises need to go deep into local areas and deal with public relationship properly as land privatization may lead to various resistances from local areas. He appreciated the large-scale agriculture-PV hybrid power project developed by SEP Japan Tsukuba PV Power Plant in particular, which maximized land benefits, profited local residents greatly, and hence realized win-win situation.
